About Us

Welcome. I am the designer, crafter, and creator here at Practically Pretty. I make one of a kind handcrafted items for daily use. I cut, paint, and hand stitch each piece myself. Unless specifically requested, no two items will ever be the same.

Did you know:

  1. 98% of leather is a byproduct of the meat industry. If you eat meat, using leather is a natural step to reduce landfill waste while owning a durable product that will last a lifetime with proper simple care.
  2. The furniture and garnet industry throws away over 800,000 tons of brand new leather every year. Here I buy up their odd dye lots, offcuts, and scraps and incorporate them into my work to help reduce some of that waste.
  3. The term “genuine leather” no longer represents quality. These days lower quality, less durable leather is chemically treated to improve its appearance and sold to you at quality leather prices. When shopping look for the terms “Top grain” or “Full grain” to give you long lasting, high quality goods. Here at Practically Pretty, I only use true quality top grain and full grain leather.
  4. I love doing custom work. Contact me with color and style ideas and let me see if I can make your vision come true.
